Evoque and Disco Sport steering rack failure

JLR are repairing these foc if the car is under 10yrs old and 150k. - but they have to have failed first !
It has become quite a frequent failure due to corrosion of the aluminium bolts securing the electric motor to the rack. There is a Facebook group who are supporting a full recall and also provide the link to the DVSA Vehicle Safety Defect Report Form. I would be grateful if this info is new to fellow owners that they share.
I'm running a 62 plate Evoque 76k - ok so far !
