Defender Configurations

Is it just me or is trying to get the perfect defender configuration like trying to get two pandas to mate? I’m looking for a P400, pangea green, black contrast roof, 7 seats. Impossible to do without getting the X with black bonnet.

Not clear why land rover are being so restrictive. Im used to the better engine configs only coming on higher trim levels, but the P400 seems to randomly appear at different trim levels, as does the black contrast roof. Pangea green disappears on the XS and V8s for some reason too?

Anyone had any luck getting specs through in the dealership which couldn't be achieved online?

Also, what happened to the P300? I wasn't interested in it but it seems to have gone. Tempted to switch to the D300 just to get the rest of what I'm looking for.

I did the same a couple of weeks ago in a dealer with a P400e. They use the same online configurator as you, so no options there. If it’s just paint sections they might be able to change things upon delivery.

I got mine to £76k without going nuts - might just get a lightly used FFRR instead
