Currently running an old Maxus crew van as a daily child/dog/work/fishing etc etc hauler, but fancy something a bit more comfortable yet nearly as spacious. (Plus inexpensive to buy)
Is a RangeRover of the circa 04 vintage a serious option or an unreliable waste of time and money as my MOT man has said?
I've no experience of these, but do all my own servicing and competent, but require it to at least get me to work each day 😂

I had a vogue in 2004, on a 54 plate as I recall. It was woeful from brand new.

Some of the highlights -
Couldn’t Change the stereo volume , some/all of the windows wouldn’t work, a/c would get stuck on full attack. Land rovers advice , it’s like your home computer sir - switch it off wait a minute and switch it back on, and see what worked and what didn’t .

It was a wonderful game , windows being stuck down with the radio blaring out at full beans as it pissed with rain .

The good old days…..mechanically it was fine (for the 6 months I kept it ) .

After the overwhelming responses and the general consensus they're poor, looks like I'll be going imported land cruiser instead!

Luck of the draw to some extent, but when they go wrong, they go expensively wrong.

I loved my 2005 HSE, but the air suspension had a mind of its own, the touchscreen wouldn't power down meaning the fuse had to be pulled unless you wanted an overnight flat battery, and the main fuel pump failed at a cost of nearly 1500 quid.

It did look nice though, and was supremely comfortable and surprisingly economical
