For the ‘don’t give a toss about rear passenger visibility’ class.

Backup entry if the above isn’t good enough:

It's their best selling vehicle. How much must that stick in the craw of people like that! laugh

It deserves an award for looks alone. Of course , there are several Land Rovers with more internal room if you need it. I was mistaken in thinking it was too dear to sell in large numbers.Very, very few cars, with the first new MINI being an exception, can be both retro and modern at once.

Isn’t that the third row? It’s maybe a bit harsh knocking occasional seats. If it was the second row I’d be more sympathetic to your observation.

It’s the 3rd row, how many customers are going to even choose that option?

Below is a picture of the number of Defender buyers shown who GAS about 3rd row seat visibility:

What they do care about is

1) low emissions and Co2
2) NVH, refinement and performance
3) Crash performance and safety
4) Easy of use
5) Appealing styling
6) Presenting an image of the off road lifestyle

This is why currently JLR are selling lots of new Defenders!

Also, given that vehicle ergonomics was not even a feature in any way what-so-ever with classic defenders, it's a bit rich now to complain about a minor issue that has no serious impact and is simply negated if it's actually an issue by not ticking that option on the options list (siting in the back of a classic 110 and you couldn't see out any of the windows because the roofline was so low, and of course, you would be killed to death in a minor impact let alone a roll over, be deafened by as little at 30 min at 60 mph, and spent most of the journey smacking your head into the roof on any kind of bump or undulation whilst your fillings were being shaken out by the horrendous ride quality......

If it’s the back seats of the 90 then it’s an even worse argument, it only gets those metal inserts if you tick the explorer pack.

Yes, rear seats of the 90 with the optional ‘Signature Graphic’. Mine has the full side glass and is a much nicer place to be - masses of legroom and a great view out forwards, to the side and above with the pano roof

No 3rd row on a 90. That is the the rear seats of a 3 door vehicle that happens to be longer than a 5 door Discovery 1.

Went to the dealers to a pre-booked test drive in a 90. However the total incompetence of the dealership they didn’t even have the vehicle on site. Despite a phone call and email confirmation of the booking. rolleyes

The only 90 they had was this one in the show room. Was just surprised that such a feature would get past the design stage. Would be horrid for kids or even adults travelling in the back.

Gap is pretty small to get in and out too. And you have to push a button and wait for what feels like minutes for the seat to ever so slowly travel forward. Very weird setup.

How is it the 3rd row? I don’t recall seeing you in the dealership. Where were you hiding?

Modern yes. Not sure where the retro is??? As in there isn’t anything retro at all about the styling.

Wow... I hope you're not trying to suggest 300BHP was in any way attempting to twist things to fit his own, negative narrative around the New Defender?? silly

That’s ok then.

Wouldn’t want to see someone go off the deep end on a rant about poor visibility when it may actually have rather good visibility.

Depending on what options you tick.

However, it’s nice that some traditions keep going.

I’m sure Land Rover, with an order book reaching far into next year, with its new model being it’s top seller.

Is going to throw all that away because 300 doesn’t like it.

I can only imagine specifying that dumb-ass option if one never intends to use the rear seats or is a completely selfish prick. Adds nothing, and completely screws the rear side windows. In reality this just shows that there is zero raison d' etre shared with the old Defender, and comparisons just don't apply. This is what it is, and well done to LR for making a vehicle that is selling very well, but don't make a link with vehicles previously bearing the same name, there is none - that's a different market altogether, now and also most of "previously" actually the smaller kingdom of the Landcruiser, which has left no space for pretenders to the throne.

What?

That depending on what options you pick.
Can make visibility really good or lacking?

You’ve been shown from another 90 owner without options how good the visibility is.

Not many are going to buy the 90 for a family car.
The 110 is for that and it doesn’t have this issue.

Your hatred of the new Defender is well known and your anti bias is shown in the video.

Maybe that’s why people don’t take what you post seriously.
