I have heard that Terrain Response can enhance on road driving because of the change in throttle sensitivity etc. I believe an LR technician said that the mud setting on a FFRR stopped the gearbox changing up, so if you were minded to do could get swifter getaways from the lights (but surely Sport mode would do this anyway?)
I have a DS 2.0 Ingenium and am not being technically minded. Could anyone elaborate on if they have found TR useful in 'normal' conditions & if so which setting is useful for what purpose?

Thanks S10

I thought mud setting reduced throttle response to stop you spinning the wheels?

Sand mode will hold gears for longer and I believe downshift earlier.

Thanks everyone. It's a while since I have been involved with Land Rovers & the use of TR - perhaps a memory lapse when I mentioned mud in my op.
Perhaps a good excuse to book an LR Experience to hear it from the pros - I enjoyed them several years ago when my father had Freelanders.
Thanks again S10
