Hi I know there might have been a lot of talk or other posts about this but didn't find a dedicated post.

Many of you have taken out Extended Warranty on your RR and I hope they have covered any faults.

Which is the best Extended Warranty company and also covers Crank Fails.

Hi there. I’ve just asked a similar question as looking at a four year old Range Rover Vogue. Did you settle on a warranty from somewhere?

I have a LR DS 2.2L 2015, which was first registered with LR. It was a LR main dealer demo and loan car. I purchased the car December 2016. It came with the remainder of the 3 year LR warranty.

On expiry of the three years I renewed the LR warranty, and have done so every year since. Not cheap, but I like peace of mind. I have not needed to make a claim, although there could be one in the pipeline.

In the prior 10 years or so to getting the LR DS, I had a series of Jaguars and extended the jaguar warranty throughout the time I had the cars. I made several claims...on one car (S Type 4.2V V8) I had three replacement gearboxes, all done under warranty.

I assume the LR and Jaguar warranties are, in effect, from the same source as they are the same company, so I can say my experience with warranty claims via these extended company warranties has been good.

Hope this helps.

I’ve just been to a main dealer to discuss a potential purchase of an L405 or Discovery and to add a 2-year extended warranty after the free 12 months of cover costs £1695 on either model. I didn’t ask about crank failure unfortunately.

I have always had the LR extended warranty and whilst expensive they have always paid out but they have to get authorisation first so may require a follow up booking
