Another Stolen D4
Discussion
We have just had our 2014 D4 HSE stolen from my wife's work carpark. Essentially they smashed the drivers side window and reprogrammed a new key using the ODB port and drove off. You could see the ODB reader in the persons hand, this was captured on the CCTV. The shocking part was from entering the carpark and leaving it was only 26 seconds.
We have been pretty careful and are aware of relay attacks but i was unaware of this so i thought it worth posting on here so people can maybe secure their car as locking it is basically pointless.
We've had the car from nearly new and it was in fantastic condition too. Now to get to try to find another car in these strange times will be an issue i suspect.

Thought 2014 had an update to stop you doing just that?
Ghost imoboliser is a must on these
From what I can ascertain this problem is across all JLR cars of that period, I agree a ghost immobiliser should have stopped them. Hindsight we should have had one fitted.Ghost imoboliser is a must on these
The insurance have paid out at market rate now which was good but the high prices and new car supply problems have made it hard to get something else used that was as good as the car we had.
