Hi all

I would normally just take the car to a garage for them to have a look at but I’m over 1000 miles from home in France so thought I’d see what wisdom is on offer here?

Potentially relevant info to help diagnostics:

1. 2013 diesel Evoque. 85k miles. No historic problems. No warning lights.
2. Serviced every year and just had service at the end of August before we left for France. Included air con re-gas at my request.
3. Have driven c1400 miles since service. Nearly all in France. Maybe 1000 on autoroutes at 85mph and the rest on windy roads.
4. My last driving manoeuvre before noticing the drips was trying to park the car in the most awkward space. There was a ridiculous amount of forward/reverse moves. Glad nobody was watching.
5. It’s about 28 degrees C.

Before the parking nightmare, we had a 1 hour drive this morning - half autoroute andy half slower roads. I noticed there were drips all over the floor of the underground parking place where I was parked.

It was still dripping after I got out of the car and the engine had been off for 10 mins or so. The floor of the car park is filthy so hard to tell what kind of liquid it is. Best guess is water but not sure. Seems to dry without leaving any residue/marks on the floor.

The drip/leak seems to be coming from around the middle of the underside. I tried to take some photos but found it quite awkward so no idea if the attached photos are actually the area the drip is coming from.

Really appreciate any help you might be able to offer.

If it’s dripping without leaving a mark then it’s likely the air con drains.

If it leaves a mark/stain etc then it’s oil, gearbox oil or haldex oil.

Get a white t towel or similar under it to catch it and give it a smell / feel and see if it’s oil.

Thank you for the responses.

I returned to the car after about 8 hours and whatever had dripped out of my car had not left any trace in the floor.

Hopefully it was just ac related water drain.

Yep, I'd suggest it's condensation dripping from the AC too.
