I have a 2014 (2015MY) Evoque 2.2 diesel manual.
It was serviced last year by an independent LR specialist and they reset the service ind.
This was mid Aug 2020 so I was expecting the indicator to have come on by now - I understand that it's 1 year or 16k miles, whichever is soonest.
I've only done 5500 miles since the last service so I'm not unduly concerned, just wondering what's happening.

Is this just a LR 'feature'?

Anyone?

Surely this can't have defeated the collective Pistonheads knowledge?

I ignore service indicators which DO come on so suggest you can safely ignore one that DOESN'T. On a relatively low use vehicle I reckon you can easily go 18-24 months - provided it gets a decent use cycle and isn't just a 2 mile commuter.

I tend to keep my cars for longer and change the oil at least annually. I do 6k mikes per annum.

An oil change is relatively inexpensive but keeps internals clean and cool.

Sure.
What I was really wondering was why the indicator hasn't come on.

It doesn't have an indicator, it is 12 months or the mileage which ewer is sooner.

Maybe, if it’s possible, it’s been reset to variable servicing, as the later ones have?
