Looking at buying a RR Evoque 2016 for my daughter and it only comes with 1 months warranty from Hilton Motors. They are trying to sell me a RAC warranty and I am not sure whether to bother or not. Its £600 for 12 months from them or is there a better company to look at?

I can't help but I will say that I've only bought approved used from main dealers as the warranties are good. They used to be two years too! But recently went down to one year.

Is there nothing available at an LR main dealer?

We recently got a Evoque Ember (with just 16k miles on it).

Had a look at both approved/other dealers, when you put in the warranty (plus half day off road course) the difference in approved/non approved was not very much.

Having had a brand new Defender before they finished production, realise how many warranty issues you can have on a JLR product, so made sense to get the best warranty that you can.

Warranty direct.

A few friends use them for their landys and you can get different cover levels.

They can be haggled on the phone over the prices.

Generally one of the best to pay out in the event of a claim.

They're not so good for BMW M5 engine seizures though I hear......

I've renewed my LR warranty annually.

It has paid for the important things, except the front suspension arms that they class as a service item.

£1100 pa with the LR assist which is very important as it gets you instant service and a loan car.

Dealers can be a nightmare to get booked into, so a good indy is also important.

We've had our 2014 evoque from new and despite paying for the LR warranty every year since the 3 Yr manufacturer one ran out we've never had to use it. The car has been perfect over 6 years and 64000 miles.
