Discovery 1 intermittent wiper

I have a wiper stalk with the 4 position intermittent option. I'm trying to set this up for my '78 MGB GT,. I'm told that the intermittent function is triggered by a relay or MCU or something else. I tried to find the stalk on Rimmers to try and trace what triggers it but I must be looking in the wrong place, What else do I need to make this work?

Yes and no. My wiring diagram is for my MGB ( new AAW wires) and my sparky will sort the wires anyway. I'm trying to understand how the intermittent function was set up IE other than wires stalk plugs is there anything else?

FWIW my sparky set up a Toyota HiLux stalk direct to my wiper motor but I want to change it. Before I see him I wanted to know if he needs any other parts to connect the Disco 1 stalk.

That's where you'll ideally need a D1 wiring diagram.
