110 Rear mud flaps
Discussion
The rear mud flaps on a 110" are a pretty poor arrangement with one end bolted to the chassis and the outboard end to the flimsy return flange of the bodywork. This has failed through metal fatigue on both sides. :-(
Is it possible to use the same arrangement as on a 90" where they bolt to the rear crossmember?

I had / have the same issue on my 110, the problem with mounting them on the cross member like a 90, is that the cross member is a lot further back on the 110 than on a 90. I did a mock up last summer and the aesthetics were not great, so I've just left the rear flaps off completely.

That was what I thought too.Maybe I will make a more robust bracket to weld to the chassis.

Never had mud flaps on my 110.
I didn't think they would survive green laning but have lasted well. It's the flimsiness of the outboard mounting which annoys me. Removed for now until I get chance to repair the LH one as damaged by the broken exhaust and the RH one where the rear wing return flange has fatigued and failed.Gassing Station | Land Rover | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
