Anyone know where I can get hold of a left hand side running board motor (pn: VPLGP0153)? From an L405 2014.

I've tried LR and they're saying it's obsolete with no alternative available.

Ordered one from a German eBay seller, paid for it then got a message to say because of Brexit they have no way to send the part out to me. So have now refunded.

Ordered it again from a different German eBay seller only to get exactly the same message word for word, so they must have two eBay stores selling the same thing. Refund pending.

Tried an independant LR parts supplier, Bearmach, they took payment and promised delivery in 3-5 days. Then called up to say they can't get hold of one and are processing a refund!

There's one on eBay from a Russian supplier but it's nearly £400 (for the same part on German Ebay that was £70). LR's list price is £140. So as you can imagine I'm reluctant to take the plunge on that one!

I can't believe that something like this is so difficult to get hold of!

Does anyone have any ideas where I could get one from?

Leicester. Last One. £379.99.

Worth dropping them a note to check they actually do have one available to send before ordering?

Remove them entirely & fit fixed running boards until brexit confusion settles down?

Thanks guys, I’ve seen the one on eBay but it’s a bit steep for what it is.

Was hoping for an alternative being available from somewhere but maybe that’s wishful thinking.

It’s really strange as these side steps are still being fitted to all the newer models I guess - so not sure what happens with them!

Basically they'll be bought in as a complete kit form the 3rd party suppliers. I have an L322 and bought a complete kit off ebay (steps, motors, wiring harness, fitting instructions, buttons, etc...) for about £300 a few years back. Fitted it myself in a morning.

So LR may still be fitting them, but will only be fitting the complete kit to a vehicle.

Maybe you should see if you can suss out how is providing the kit and approach them for a spare motor?

Or see if you can find a local company to rebuild your motor?

Cheers - I'll probably end up doing that although getting a partial HP motor rewound (I've found in the past) isn't the easiest thing to do!
