Is there a way to clear fault codes without an IID or similar tool?

Had a restricted performance yesterday - hose had come off (slightly concerned as to why) - drives fine now hose is back but orange engine light still on.

I recently cleared codes on mine with a cheap OBD2 Bluetooth thing and the free car scanner app. Seemed to work fine!

(You can probably find cheaper, or buy from Amazon so you can check the reviews)

Show's you a lot of other data too! Helped me diagnose which egr valve was at fault.

I imagine if you pay for the app you can do even more
