P400e Preconditioner question
Discussion
do you mean the webasto fuel heater? or the electric climate option - i.e. running the aircon from the batteries?
can't comment on the fuel heater as I didn't option it, but the I've never been able to get the electric climate to work on schedule, if it hit the button on the app it does run for 30 minutes though.

Couple of questions...FFRR p400e owner with separate fuel heater here - never had a problem with either.
If webasto.
Have you got the separate heater key fob? Is this what you are starting it on? If so, it should run for about 20 minutes.
Have you got enough petrol in? Is your main battery in good nick? If yes, then maybe a fuse issue.
If remote climate.
Are you using the new app for remote climate? If so, have you got enough phev battery? If so, have you got enough petrol?
Are you getting in the car or pressing unlock?
Are you actually checking the car, or is the app just saying it failed? (this is common but incorrect)
Finally, what temperature are you trying to achieve? Has it already achieved it?

I don’t know what the Webasto heater is ?? It’s a FFRR P400e with a small separate fob that you preheat the cabin with. It switches on ok, but it goes off really quickly....actually prob more like 10 seconds rather than 5.
The car is used daily & battery seems ok, plus if it was a fob battery issue, I don’t suppose it would switch it on initially.

Same as mine. The separate fob turns on a fuel burning heater, in the engine bay with its own exhaust pipe that comes out at the bottom of the bay. These used to be made by a company called Webasto. Hence the name.
If yours is tripping after such a short time I would say either not getting fuel, or the voltage is fluctuating. It will not operate if the fuel level is less than about 20%. It also needs water and air flow.
Regardless, as its the p400e, you can set on preheating via the app. This should work and you can choose either to use the electric or the fuel (engine). Have you tried this? If this works and the car is fuelled then I think it points to a voltage/earth issue with the FBH.

I've got a P400e without the fuel-burning heater. I simply go to the Remote App and press the electric pre-conditioning button up to half an hour before departure. I haven't found a way to schedule automatic pre-conditioning at this point, so I've reached the conclusion that only works with the fuel-burning heater. I'm not too troubled, though. For me, pre-conditioning is now something I couldn't live without.
The manual is useless on the subject.

If you have a Vogue or Vogue SE you only need the app with the white icon background.
If you have an Autobiography, or upgraded executive seats on the above two, you can also download the app with a dark blue icon background (this is an older app) which allows you to control seat functions too. Super useful if you buy more than you thought from the garden centre and want the seats to be folded when you get back to the car!
Sadly they haven't put all the functions in one app yet.
