I've got a 2014 Range Rover Sport with the 4.4 V8 diesel engine. It's suddenly suffering from a loss of power - particularly noticeable going up hills. There's plenty of revs and not a lot of speed (it's usually fairly punchy).

It's under extended warranty but my dealership (predictably) can't look at it for 6 weeks....as such looking to take to an indy but any ideas what it could be? There's no error lights and never had a problem with it (44k Miles, full history)

Gut feeling is a turbo failure.

Do you have AA/RAC membership? If so, give them a shout and see if they can diagnose it.

Call Land Rover Assist?

Landrover Assist is a good shout if it's a LR warranty

It could be as simple and cheap as a turbo hose come loose - or as complicated and expensive as you can imagine

clogged dpf??

Friend of mine just had something similar on his disco sport. Local indie charged him £130 (ish). Think he said an engine management light came on though. All seems well again.

Does sound like a loss of boost, so perhaps a loose hose. LR assist would be my starting point.

Thing I've found with LR Assist is that if the car is properly buggered they will source a courtesy car for you whilst the car goes to a dealer, usually speeds ups the process as well. Sometimes have to be insistent though.
