I’ll be surprised if that doesn’t go for close to 20 grand.

Good original condition, not over restored, a nice lightly worn car that can be used.

For £20k you could have mine! Are they really worth that much?

The bids only got to £14K but it obviously didn't get to the owners reserve. I liked it due to its interesting history as well.

Yours looks in great condition.

That’s surprising. Maybe the bubble’s finally burst?

Thanks, yes, mine is nice.
It has never had any welding, the chassis was recently removed, cleaned and painted the correct shade of green. Its perfect.
All the body panels are original, as is the non rusty original bulkead. That was also painted at the same time and is lovely.
The drive-line is rebuilt, the gearbox also. That was really expensive. It had new synchro hubs, bearings, seals and shafts. I remember the parts bill alone for that and for doing the transfer case was over £600. John Everard the famous engineer did it.
The engine runs like a top with a period speed mod- an Alloy Cylinder Head! Goes very well. Spreadbore Engines are really expensive too! Think 2x Jaguar E type engines each. The exhaust manifold was replaced with a correct new item and a new exhaust and hangers.
New clutch. brake lines, seals, suspension, springs + bushes. New steering relay and steering joints.
Booked in for electronic ignition next week,
Had a new canvas top, frame and elephant hide seats.
Oh, and a new wiring loom and lights!
All done in 2020.
It would be easier to say that its basically rebuilt, but still has the original body, chassis, bulkhead and driveline.
The remaining items to do are a dicky petrol tank sender and some other minor item.
She does drive beautifully. Very quiet and smooth for one of these.

Hi Johnny,
Looks like it will have to go to make space, much as I like it.
I have 2 more FHC E type shells being delivered next week and in Jan for reassembly, so that takes up all the space in my domestic garage.
PM me if you are interested.
