RRS main dealer question
Discussion
This is a bit of a long one....I have very recently purchased an approved used RRS from a main dealer.
Having a few problems within the first two weeks including two call outs for EMS warning light coming on.
When I viewed the car I pointed out that the tyres were worn at the back to what looked less than 3mm. Near side front tyre has a PZero on it when all others are cross contact. Front off side was half worn a bit but needed to be replaced so that new tyres on same axle. Thing is when I collected it they’ve put a cross contact on it - so they now have to match.
They told me the rear tyres were at 4mm and I’ve got a report from them to show that - I’ve attached the report below. Now this is the interesting bit - I’ve measured the tyres - not one of them matches! The rears vary from 2.6-3.6 on one and 2.4-3.8. I’ve taken 4 readings across each tyre and 3/4 of each start with a 2. Also noticed that the ‘new’ PZero only has 6mm on it - so guessing it was taken off another car and not new at all.
I’m getting pushback from the dealer. At the point I had measured them and informed them I’d done 20miles!
Other items include:-
Overspray down whole of passenger side from a tiny repair they did and have also left a small dent behind at the point of repair.
One alloy has paint peeling (but was covered with the white tyre fitting gunk when I collected it).
Discs are heavily lipped but they are telling me they are as per second attachment- note they didn’t give a measurement for the rear discs that look like they are more worn than the fronts.
One key fob was almost flat and only worked when touching door handle with it!
Am I in my rights to demand the rear tyres are replaced?
So far service has been appalling and I have had to chase constantly - I got unbelievable attitude from the sales manager so I am quite concerned.
I really like the car but I’m at the point of giving it back and demanding a refund.

We have the same vehicle and sourced in the same way, with similar disinterest from the salesperson once sold. I've several experiences within the JLR dealer network and few have been particularly satisfying. They've made a sale and got your money and aren't really interested in your problems. Unfortunately that's how a lot of the SH car industry works. I presume as you have a used-approved warranty? If so the EMS issues should get sorted as it's not generally a serviceable item, which could otherwise be excluded.
As for Wheels, Tyres, and other service items, or cosmetic issues, you really need to pick these points up when you view the car. I accept its very difficult to look at everything in detail when viewing, but tyres, brake discs and paint issues are all fairly obvious, and expensive, so dealers will try and get away without replacing/repairing if they can. If you spot anything you're unhappy with, make it a condition of sale that the offending item(s) are sorted as part of the sale agreement, before handing over any money. All very well with the benefit of hindsight of course.
Once you drive away and subsequently find a service/cosmetic issue, it can be difficult (or made difficult) to resolve as these aren't, generally, covered by a warranty. Your Tyre, Wheel, Fob Battery, Brakes are all service items and subject to periodic replacement so fall into this category and I doubt you'll have much luck in getting replacements now. That said, if you don't ask you don't get, and main dealers don't like negative feedback.

I did point out the discs and all the tyres and told them I wanted them doing. Then on collection I found the issues I did with tyres etc and assumed they were being honest with their measurements but obviously this wasn’t the case! We made a note on the paperwork about the front tyres not matching and they said they would resolve.
The overspray and dent were done after I had originally seen the car.
Also in reply to your last paragraph- these were picked up after 20miles of driving. I didn’t happen to have a tyre gauge on me when I went to collect it. No one in their right mind can seem this as acceptable. To me it is rather obvious they have been dishonest. In fact I’d go as far as to say - using a legal term that they have ‘dishonestly misappropriated’ my money by falsifying the numbers - especially noting they didn’t even put the rear disc measurements because they knew they were so bad.

How old & how many miles ?
RR's go through rear discs and pads twice a quick as the fronts ( as with a lot of heavy cars ) It will be a uphill struggle to reject it for this type of thing even some overspray . Ask them to rectify the paint and just go out and enjoy your new to you car ??
