I have a 2020 RRS SVR and want to fit winter tyres. The car comes with the optional 22 inch rims. I had it fitted from the factory with the summer tyre option (295 width). If you don't select this option the car comes with 285 all season tyres.

Looking at the Land rover guide it suggests that I fit 275/40/22 winter tyres with a 9.5J rim. This feels too narrow to fit the rim as the 22" rim is 10J.

I've contacted the Land rover helpline (now in hiding post lock down) and received a message that I should just fit winter tyres that are the right size for the existing rim. This feels rather difficult given that their guide suggests Continental Cross contacts which are not available in the existing rim size.

Does anyone have any advice on what works on their RRS with 22s?

Thanks, Matt

One of you limiting factors is the size of your brakes... Bearing that in mind, I'd be looking at trying to get the smallest rims which will still fit and then going for the narrowest winter tyre recommended for that size rim.

There should be a label on one of the door slams which should show you the different sizes supported.

I have the all-season tyres on mine, what about some of those or do you want full winters.

I have full summers for the summer and would therefore like to go full winters for the winter season. Whilst I won’t be doing it this winter I’d like the option of taking the car skiing in the future.

At the moment I’m thinking that the best bet is Continental Winter Contact 275 40 22 fitted to the same 22 inch rim as the 295 summers. Advice on the Internet seems to suggest that the 275s will also fit on the rim.
