Has anyone experienced paint cracking on landrover Discovery 4. Our car is about 6 years old (64 plate) and we noticed a few months ago that the paint on the bonnet was cracking up. It getting worse with the same happening to the roof and rear of the car ?

Landrover not interested in helping as paint warranty has expired. Any help or feedback appreciated.

Where in the world are you - as in is the paint exposed to continual high temperatures & sunlight?
Has the vehicle ever had a respray?

UK - far from extreme heat. No respray purchased direct from Land rover with 4000miles on the clock as x demo car.

Looks like the lacquer is breaking down. Seen it on quite a few cars but normally much older one's.

Ditto.
The bonnet of my RRC was resprayed some years ago. Over the past couple of years it's done much the same as yours.
You'll likely find it starts to go white & eventually you can scratch it off with your nails.
Only cure is to sand back to sound material & respray.

Next year I'm going to take it back to bare metal & start again as I know there's at least another couple of layers on mine - one of which is a different colour so I know the bonnet has been replaced at some point in the car's life.
