L494 RRS Iphone holster and wired connection

Hello,

I take delivery of a new RRS next week. Does anyone know if you can plug your iphone with a wired connection into the car and does this mean you're not using the Bluetooth for phone calls and music streaming? I'd rather use a wired connection if possible. Also has anyone used one of the brodit mounts in their RRS?
