L322 doors auto-locking??

Question? is there any way that an L322 can auto lock its doors when parked up with the ignition off and the key removed?

we are trying to figure out if our terrorist of a 2 1/2 year old has done an exceptionally good job of hiding the key or if there is any way that i left the key in the car and it has auto-locked.

it's an '09 MY L322 Vogue SE and it has definitely never auto-locked before, its got a new battery in it (6 months ago) and it does plenty of miles so shouldn't be short of volts.

car only came with one key, so aside from dismantling the house / breaking into the car, also wondering what the options are for a new key (and i assume locks)

Mine will only auto lock if it's 'opened' with the remote and only if any door or tailgate aren't opened in which case it locks again after a minute or so. It's probably like that to prevent the key being locked inside! I do know a dealer can program this on/off.
