L322 Satnav - why doesn't it know where it is?
Discussion
Got a strange one here - I fired up my 55 plate RR L322's satnav for the first time last weekend as I was off to new destination that I didn't know. It loaded up with no fuss, recognised the destination and plotted me a course - all good.
However, I was rather surprised to see that this journey of around 18 miles was expected to take me over 3 hours. The reason, it turned out, is that the satnav thinks the car is in Hull, whereas I can confidently assert that it is in Hampshire.
I've turned off and on again, re-booted etc. but the satnav will not be dissuaded from thinking we're in the glorious North. Any ideas?

Give it a chance, GPS systems in general can take a while to warm up
If the system has been active recently it will recall its position and the satellites it was using before.
If the system hasn’t been completely inactive for a good while it will need 10-15 minutes, ideally with the vehicle stationary, to resynchronise

Yes, the L322 sat nav seems to be prone to taking its sweet old time to connect to the satellites. Even if you don't need it, press the navigation button when you start it so it knows where it is, even then it can be slow. Not being able to get an up to date map will be much more of a problem soon!
