Hello, regular PH-er but first time in this forum, thanks for reading!

So I've found the perfect spec RR Sport, 2016, ULEZ, main dealer with warranty, really close to where I live.

Only (major) problem for me is the wheels are black, the bloody grille is black, and the privacy glass is like the sides of a van. I've looked for others but every single one seems to have this, it's like the "standard spec" these days. For reference I'm 38 years old in case I'm mistaken for a Holland and Holland type nerd

I know I'm going 100% against fashion here, but I want to

- replace the black grill with silver
- remove the privacy glass (it does my head in)
- get those wheels to be silver somehow

Will a main dealer do any of this for me? Or is there a good specialist I could take it to, who would do this work? For reference I'm in Surrey.

thank you hugely in advance for any thoughts!

The general rule of Landrover & Range Rover ownership is to stay as far away as possible from main dealers as possible.

Since black wheels & trim is popular, perhaps you could do a wheel and grille swap with someone who wants to do the opposite. Try the rrsport.co.uk forum.

Failing that, on the subject of wheels, there are quite a few wheel refurbishers around who will repaint your wheels in whatever colour you wish. If you can't find one locally, speak to your local tyre shop. They will probably sort you out taking care of everything.

The wheels are just a simple paint or powder coat job done by a recommended local wheel refurb company.

The grille is easily replaceable at home and used ones can be found via Ebay for nominal cost.

The tinted windows are another matter. If aftermarket then they will just be a plastic film laid onto the inside of the glass and will only require time and elbow grease to remove all traces.
Most likely though, is that they are factory glass which is tinted during the manufacturing process and as such the only way to remove the tint would be to replace the glass.

It was the same for me Mercutio, when I got my RR Sport back in 2010. Even then they were mostly blacked out and it took me FOREVER to get one in the spec I wanted without window tints.

I sold the car about 4 years ago and I still see it around from time to time. The new owner has tinted the windows...

Try and find a 'Lepsons' near you that will be able to change the wheel colour. They do work for a lot of main dealers and the quality is excellent (they painted my 997 wheels).

That sounds exactly like the spec of mine, one that I spent quite some time looking for.

The only changes I’m planning to make is to have it taken up somewhere North of 600bhp and fit the SVR exhaust.

When I bought mine I just told the dealer that they had a deal if they took the black wheels off and replaced them with the original sparkle silver, sorted. Kept the black grill though as it matched the black lettering, etc.

You, sir, are a man of good taste. Well, apart from buying a Range Rover Skort, but other than that... wink
