Wondering how practical it is.

I'm guessing the pics may not do it justice.

But the website doesn't make it look like there is much knee or leg room. I love the idea of a middle front seat. Used it loas in my Series III 88.

Hang on a minute.....I thought Super Defender had solved absolutely every single flaw and shortcoming of a real Defender?
Are you saying there’s an aspect of it which isn’t 100% perfect?

TBH - There's only one real way of finding out as what would work for someone else, might not work for you. The middle seat is recessed slightly to help improve legroom though.

Annoyingly, you'll probably find the cars in the showrooms don't have the middle seat option. If you're desperate to find out, it might be worth a quick call to the local dealers to see if they have something in (they might even have a customer car you can quickly sit in if needed).

Will be perfect for my seven year old.

Liking these more and more, it may entice me back to the fold...maybe...

They certainly aren't a cheap option. Think this is the spec I'd go for, at least until the hardtop prices released (assuming you can get all the bits I'd want on those).

Comes out at £55.5k as near as damn it. So that'll be a starting price + an entire new Suzuki Jimny's cost in options... lol biggrin

That said, playing about earlier, I did manage to get to £104,000 as well. And that still wasn't ticking everything. eek

It can't be any less practical than the original. Wife and I spent a very cosy 2.5 weeks with a Libyan "guide" wedged between us. And it was Ramadan so his breath was foul. yuck

I think it's more a case of if it's worth it. Quite easy to retro fit the seat or seatbox in the original. But I suspect a lot harder/more costly with this one. Also the choice made, impacts other available options.

Really like the idea of a 6 seater however.

You've done well to keep it under £60k.

Yes. There's no way you'll be able to rig a cubby box to slot in like the seat pad. smile
