Need some urgent help

Got a Range Rover sport 3.0 diesel 2016. Got in it to go somewhere and following error has come up on dash. Photos attached. Can’t release electric parking break to move off. So stuck. Any solution to atleast get it moving. It’s booked in for service tomorrow and can have it looked at by the dealer

Have you tried doing what the display says?

If you find you can't release the brake, try pressing the switch down while cycling the ignition.

Booo.... frown

On the older cars, there was a cable which could be pulled, to manually release (under the centre console) but I can't remember on your car.

The following is how to get the L405 out of 'P', whilst it isn't the EPB, it does make me think there should be an EPB emergency release around there somewhere (coz there's similar on the previous models)....

I have to pop out but I'll have another dig later.

Thanks for that

How do you remove the cup holders to get access to the cable ?

Here are a couple more links to help track things down:

This is the gearbox 'P' release on the RRSport:

...and this is the handbrake release cable on the Disco 4, so you have an example of what to look for (FWIW - On the D4, there's a hook on the end of one of the tools in the boot, to help release).

You might find that dropping the gearbox into 'P' might also release the park brake but I doubt it. frown

Short of giving the AA a shout, I'd be having a look under the centre console and/or around the battery (recess in the boot) for evidence of a cable to tug!!

Good luck.
