Hi
I have had an HST tvd8 2008 for 3 years now ,paid £18k its done 17k since purchase, now has 97k on it.
In the 3 years on top of the purchase with all faults its cost me almost 30K (yes 30k).
3 months ago it went in for a manifold split going into limp mode , had this changed @£936 .00 as no body off needed despite most garages saying it was a body off.
Picked it up from the garage next day Non starter RAC said fuel block , had it rescued back to garage .
Its been there for 3 months ,they tested Pumps etc all ok , Injectors as its reading bank 1 fault but these are fine .
Help line (yes Land rover specialist needed a help line) said Ecu fault ,sent away for revamped Ecu .
New ecu has come back with a Corruption or virus .
They are now saying its and engine fault but still cannot get the Truck to tick over ,it starts well runs well but when its warmed up coughs and splutters and almost stalls then hit limp.
I am desperate for help now as I have spent all this money still owe £8k finance and have a truck that will not run.
Help anyone !!!!!

I have a 2007 TDV8, it doesn't have a DPF.

Go to rrs.co.uk and ask there. Loads of support there. Sounds like your garage is guessing.

Probably faulty injector loom. Would have been disturbed during the inlet manifold job.

Either that or a faulty sensor or wiring, probably something that is in or near the manifold

Sounds like a high pressure pump fault try a good cleaner through the system first Liquimoly sometimes cures these pumps if they have ingested some foreign body

Join fullfat.com forum,

There are loads of very knowledgeable people on there with L322 TDV8's that may give you a good steer

EDIT: you state a HST, so is a Sport?. If so going RRsport.co.uk for the same advise but specific to sports

Forget all the suggestions you're going to get here because you'll get a different suggestion from each poster.

You need to get the car to a garage that knows what it's doing and get it properly diagnosed, otherwise you'll simply end up replacing parts until they stumble across the faulty part. (Maybe that's how you've ended up spending so much money on it already??).

Good luck... The TDV8 is an awesome motor when running properly. smile
