Snapped Disco 4 crank - anyone got one?

Just wondering if anyone has one of these from a failed engine? Might be able to get it tested and see what actually caused it.

I know it's a bit random. I'm about to buy one and obviously aware of this possible issue. Would be interesting to find out the root cause.

I’m pretty sure the problem was caused by a bearing shell slipping during operation and blocking an oil feed, IIRC this was due to poor process on assembly of the engine at the ford plant in Dagenham (psa designed the engine and ford built it) although I believe the problem was rectified by 2015(might of been earlier)
