Land Rover discovery 3
Discussion
Hi everyone
I wonder if anyone could help me with a problem with my son’s Land Rover discovery 3 auto and as I live in Essex and he lives in North Yorkshire I cannot have a look to see what’s wrong with it ,he informed me that he got into it this morning to take his kids to school and pulled away as normal and it was making metallic noise which isn’t much help as it could be coming from anywhere but he said if he drove it very slowly the noise stopped and it doesn’t do it in reverse ? I did say to him to check the fluid in the gearbox to which he said where is the dipstick , I said it’s probably somewhere towards the back of the engine!!
So has anybody got any idea on what it could be

I would suggest a lesson on how to contact a local garage is likely more useful. Either that or they should be looking for info themselves. Passing info through a 3rd, 4th or 5th party is unlikely to result in anything useful.I wonder if anyone could help me with a problem with my son’s Land Rover discovery 3 auto and as I live in Essex and he lives in North Yorkshire I cannot have a look to see what’s wrong with it ,he informed me that he got into it this morning to take his kids to school and pulled away as normal and it was making metallic noise which isn’t much help as it could be coming from anywhere but he said if he drove it very slowly the noise stopped and it doesn’t do it in reverse ? It could be brake pads, but then again it could be 1000 other things.
