Detachable tow bar falls off (again)

Sorry if done to death already - my detachable tow bar detached itself, luckily not when towing, last summer. LR said there has been a recall but I never received the letter. LR then replaced the tow bar foc. That worked until a week ago when it too fell out, fortunately not when I was towing.

I have asked LR to pay for a permanent tow bar but still await response.

Anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know if LR have been sued over this and what the name of the case(s) is/are?

I had a recall letter a year or so after most but well over 2y before your post on here

Mine passed the test - a big relief - because I used it for a bike carrier not for towing and actually used the car off road so the permanent tow bar array fitted free of charge would have been a PITA

I think there had been a large series of fails involving caravans and horse boxes - Google is your friend

Thanks, yes mine passed too then the second tow bar fell off!

Have found examples online but haven't found any litigation yet!

Now been told to ps off by Grange Land Rover Hatfield for reasons they cannot explain.
