In the farming and Land Rover community circles I frequent. There appears to be a trend, that if you own a Defender or a Series Land Rover, then you probably also own something like a Range Rover, Freelander, Discovery of some kind too.

Does this trend extend to PH members too?

Currently own a 3.9i Defender and a 5.0 SC Autobiography FFRR.

Previously I've had

- 4.4 AJV8 L322
- 4.6 Vogue SE P38
- 3.9i RRC
- 3.9i Discovery 1
- SIII 3.5 V8

Most at one time was the 4.4 L322, RRC and the Defender, for a couple of years. (Excuse the state of the drive, we'd just moved in!)

Because they are dependable versatile and easy to maintain.

-My 1996 110" 300TDi Station wagon is now at over 300000 miles.

-My Dad's 1958 88" Series One is in regular off-road use on a pheasant shoot.

The other one is a 100" Bowler but only parts of that came out of Lode Lane.

It did for me. At one point, I had a 83 Series 3 and 2005 Discovery 3. The running joke is you need to have two so you have a spare when one of them breaks which to be honest is highly likely!

Alas I couldn't really afford to keep the Discovery on the road. It couldn't manage 6 months with out an issue so off it went to a tree surgeon.

Besides my 1994 110 CSW, I own a 1973 Series III 88" and a 2007 SC L322.

I'm not exclusively LR, though, and own a few other makes in addition to the above.
