I know that RaRo axles can be converted to Series suspension, but are Series 1 compatible with S2s?
I've seen some RaRo axles that have been converted and used on an S1 - I want them for my S2 88". Anyone know if they'll fit?

IIRC, S1 and S2 axles are not interchangeable; but S2 and S3 are. For the Rangie axles, you'd need some brackets welded on for the leaf springs, and probably the base for the coil springs removed.

It depends on what type of series one the are from, if they are off an 86" or 88" they will fit, I had a series 2 rear axel on my series one 86". Ideally you will need a duel circuit servo master cylender, or a massive right leg, if you are yousing RR front calipers you will also need a 't' peice for each side as RR calipers have two flexi hoses.

Series One axles are 50" track.
Series Two onwards they are 52" track.
First-generation Range Rover, Discovery and Defender axles are 58" track.
Defender 110" and late Range Rover front callipers are single brake circuit.
