Hi
Just wondering if anybody knows what tax I would be paying for a 2005 defender 7 seater hard top, so many variations it’s difficult to find out for certain
Thanks

For that year it would be a 300TDi engine, no confusion because of it being a station wagon, pickup or whatever.

Look it up on the DVLA website.

Surely 2005 would be a TD5 not 300TDi

Could be either engine? Point is that the engine displacement or emissions band determines VED rate, not body type.

Hi Mike,

Should be a Td5 engine, £325 a year.

Given that the TD5 replaced the TDi engine range in 1998, as the TDi engines would not meet EuroIII, I'd hazard an educated guess thats its a TD5 engine

Unless he's looking at ROW or Military specification which retain the 300tdi. 😉

Lol and the least likely options. wink

It would almost certainly in the context of this thread be a TD5 biggrin
