Key Fob-td5 Discovery

Unable this morning to gain access to car using the car's key fob, and with no EKA code, not able to reset key fob for access.

Whilst I have a diagnostic code reader, the same is locked in the key.

My questions are, if I use the key to obtain access to the car, will that set off the car's alarm, and once I gain access will the code reader supply me with the EKA code. Lastly is there a default EKA code available to use.

If you unlock it with the key and open the door, the alarm will go off

Have you tried climbing on the roof and pressing unlock?

The remote sensor is near the rear sunroof, in the centre, up in the headlining, mine failed and gave this symptom

Swapped the receiver and all good
