Replacing a D3

If I was to replace my D3 what would I replace it with?

Pretty much this Despite my general grumblings about LRs, the D4 is a cracking machine. I'd go 8Sp over the 6Sp though.

But with my D3 sorted and not giving much trouble over the last couple of years would I dare risk it let alone the depreciation.

Yes, but the D4 interior is vastly better than the D3. Also depreciation is one of the better traist of D3/4 ownership. They depreciate less than their piers.

Also, new issues will come up on your D3. Don't forget its a Land Rover!!

If you are willing to wait for a few months and budget allows, why not put your deposit down for the new 5-door Defender?

My D3 will eventually be replaced with either a D5 or L405.

I’ve seen a few Byron Blue D5s and I really like the colour and how the black trims bits stand out so that’s likely a future buy.

Tbf, my D3 isn’t worth selling so it will enjoy a semi retirement and be used for overland travel and camping. It’s fast approaching 200,000 miles and is worth more broken up for bits but I can’t bring myself to do that to it.

I think that if I did replace the D3 it would have to be with a D4.
