Range Rover Sport SVR 2016
Discussion
I have a range rover Sport SVR it has a major intermittent fault where it just cuts out and lags between stop /start usually but lately it did it to me on the motorway, it just came to a stop like it was running out of fuel even though I had a quarter tank left and I had to get towed, low and behold after towing it and it coming off the tow (which by the way the AA are not the greatest at doing to this car! it took them like an hour to get it on their truck) it started to work again, Land Rover just cant find the fault and i'm loosing confidence in my car tbh any thoughts it seems like just a fuel shortage but its happened when its full when its half empty anytime no set pattern, has anyone else had this issue please help, I'm a woman, not great with engines, and no-one seems to be taking this serious at all for me they say they can only deal with it when it happens but then it starts so its not all the time, the AA ran a diagnostic but range rover said they still cant find anything. AGHHHH YOU JUST DON'T EXPECT THIS WITH SUCH AN EXPENSIVE CAR
Any pattern to the fault appearing? Time/distance travelled and so on?
Sorry can't help but I'd start with the simple stuff - perhaps fuel filters are partly blocked. Cheap to replace I would think and at least you know petrol getting to the engine.
Or even a fuse or relay to the fuel pump that is not 100% - pennies to buy (fuses) and easy DIY.
Good luck, very frustrating.
