Just bought an immaculate 2001 Vogue 4.6 Auto.

I am planing on doing the old classic RR up for off roading.

Can you suggest what sort of thing to be aware of going wrong on a used rangie
c'mon they all have a story to tell.

Congrats Steve

Will it be visiting the 'little place by Sainsburys'?

Rich,

Where do I start, there are loads of problem areas depending on how old of course.

I am pretty new to RR as I haven't had one before the Classic.

There are lots of rust problems on the older models, particularly the tailgate, sills, rear seat belt mounts, amongst other places.

I had my classic checked out by a local specalist,& appear to have got away fairly lightly.I think about £500-£700 should sort it out into quite good order.

Cheers

Steve

Ooh the thought of it makes me go fuzzy all over

The only time I visit there will be to pick up oil and servicing bits for the 90 when I get it

I had a 99 4.6 HSE, and the main problem with this era RR seems to be the air suspension.

When all is going well they're a lovely a car though!!
