Help me fix my Disco
Discussion
Having a very strange problem with my car.
Today has brought some heavy rain, when I have been parked at work, the gutter overflowed and quite and entertaining stream of water fell onto my discovery 2 for a few minutes.
About 4 hours later I set off home, car starts and drives fine, get to the shops, stop the car and get out, I notice the door bong going off, same noise as if the lights have been left on, check all lights and door, nothing is on or open.
half an hour later I've come home and I hear the alarm sounding, go outside and switch it off, whilst I'm there I have a nosey to try and find the source of the bonging only this time when o start the car and switch off, the engine stays on with the key out of the ignition! All of the dashboard lights are on and I can only stop the engine by stalling it.
I've had the battery disconnected, checked the fuses I can see, the loom on the ECU looks dry, after half an hour I reconnected the battery and restart the car, same thing happens only this time I can stop the engine with the brake pedal.
So people of piston heads, what can I try now?
