2015 RRS cat failure

So, my wife texted me today and said there was a warning lamp on the dash. Called LT Assist who confirmed that both cats had failed and NOX sensors were shot.
Car is a 2015-65plate RRS 3.0 SD V6 with I think just over 20k miles. Normal use, nothing crazy.
What sort of things could cause cat failure like this?
No real warnings, dodgy running, just up comes the warning. All LR services, generally a good car.
