Hey Guys

New this forum (but long time poster in the Aston Martin forum). I'm looking to purchase a new Range Rover but my early impressions of playing with the new infotainment system (the dual screen variant introduced 2018) are not good. It seems pretty slow to respond and gets itself confused a lot. I found it pretty infuriating to the point I'm considering buying a last of the 2017 model range with the older system.

Looking to get your thoughts around real world experience. I only had chance to play for 5 minutes whilst sat in the showroom.

Is this a common issue or do you folks get on OK with it?

Thanks,

Chris

The new system is a few light years ahead of the older MY17 system - you played with a car in the showroom that is plugged in to a battery - get them to give you a demo and see how it is. Mine is great (2018 RRS autobiography picked up last month). Also had the same in my Velar first edition and no issues to report as such.

I concur, mine runs fine in a Velar for the last 4 months. Had one problem where the screen stayed flat but restarted the car and all good. It does struggle when people have a look and we start pressing buttons as soon as it turns on, in normal use mine is stable, easy to use and intuitive. No issues with lag either.

Infotainment is fine, but did lose all surround cameras yesterday!
So, as with the Vanquish, stop, switch off, get out, lock car, wait a few minutes, bingo
Did LR Experience yesterday. What a car. Awesome

Hi Chris. I have had mine three weeks now ,SVR. just yesterday i lost the radio until i stopped and parked when returned all was back working fine again.
Both screens work lovely, at the moment, Plus they look superb and make the 17-year model look dated..
