Well within the capability of a standard Land Rover (driver? well that’s open to debate)

I see you live in Surrey

The friends i go off roading with are members of both Thames Valley 4x4 and 4x4 withoutaclub.

thames valley use many different sites wheras 4x4 withoutaclub have their own site which is fantastic.
Most of these sites seem to be fairly near Reading.

we also go to Devils Pit from time to time which you dont need to be a member of just turn up and pay.

Every event i've been to ive found the people there really friendly and had a good day out.

Dont think they allow spectators to go on the course though people do stop and get out to watch some things happening.

The course is really good has everything from easy muddy tracks to huge almost vertical drops and climbs which require you to have a roll-cage and helmet.

Probably the best thing would be to turn up and jump in with someone for a ride round the course and see if its for you. I'm sure my mates would be up for taking you round.

What are you thinking of using? We use an old Rangie and a Suzuki SJ.

Give me a PM when you're going and if we're there we'll arrange to meet up and take you round the course.

Brick Kiln Farm is a great place (some bits are a bit tricky), it's just off the A31 on the way to Four Marks.

Cheers Graham,
I know of this club, although I haven't been the venue, for many years.(Probably about 31 years!)I went to a grass track event or something.

Just got to get the old Classic sorted now.

Cheers

I'll second that! Been there a few times with tv4x4 club. It has lots of challenges, and 3 range rover bumper end caps deep in the mud somewhere...anyone finds them, please send them my way

Yeah there's an oval track just before the foresty bit, there was a load of people ragging around it when I went to a trial.

A few friends of mine went over a few years ago, Defender came out of gear whilst going down into a steep bomb hole and put the axle through the bottom of the engine

Aah, fair enough

I'm hoping the Westfield will be finished this weekend, MOT'd shortly after, I'll drive it for a month or so, sell it, then look for a 90 to buy and start sorting out.

Then I can sell the Smart and finish off the 90 properly...and have some cash left over I hope.
