My old workhorse, the '07 Freelander 2, does not have Isofix fittings for child seats and as I intend to donate the old girl to my son and wife I need it to have Isofix for the baby.

My research into retrofitting Isofix to Freelander 2s has drawn a blank so I am turning to the forum for help...

Any ideas?

Both my FL1 and 2006 model FL2 had isofix (just small bars welded onto the structure where the seat squab and base meet) so Id be surprised if yours hasn't got them fitted.

No one would ever recommend welding stuff in to allow an isofix seat to be fitted, as I suspect it would be much safer to use a non isofix car seat.

You absolute star! Thanks a lot.

A week of Googling produced nothing. A few minutes on a PH forum and all the answers come tumbling in.
