As title , car has small tear and cracks in "leather" on the seat side from getting in and out , would this be covered on the warranty . Only 27K of light use . Many thanks Chris

I'd be amazed if JLR agreed to sort this under warranty.
"Perhaps sir would consider cutting down on the pies?" wink
They might do it as a goodwill thing but I wouldn't hold your breath. Even after 27k miles some Defenders are total henhouses (especially those that work for a living...horsey types, shooting, that lot) so with a bit of wear on the seat yours is probably classed as pristine.

Hi , chaps , was just wondering if this is a common fault . I'm only 12 stone , slim build so not squeezing a hippo in there and the rest of the car is still pristine .I run a couple of 4x4s and usually keep them 8-10 years but never worn a seat out . It goes in for its second service on tuesday so will have a chat with them . Thanks Chris

Think about the way you get in and out of the car. Most people 'slide' their bum off the seat with a Defender.

Now think about your earlier statement: "27k of light use"... That says to me you're just using it for short journeys?

Put the two together and you've got the makings of a lot of wear on the driver's seat.
