I'm am thinking if upgrading my 2008 car, and wanted something a bit less floaty as I do find mine wallows a bit more than I would like. Does the active suspension on the later cars make a huge difference in this respect, or do I really need to look at something else?

Thanks

The L405 with active suspension does have a fair bit of float in a straight line at motorway speed, significantly more than the L322, and pitches a little bit with it too, but as soon as you tip it into a corner it feels considerably tighter.

You get get a lot less roll and, if you're really leaning on it, none of the hopping and lurching you get with the older model. It just rolls a bit and takes a set.

I wouldn't say it feels significantly more agile, but it is better behaved.

Ah right, are you sure those have active suspension? I thought all L322's were passively damped!

Me too, but I have seen a number of late SC cars and high spec 4.4 TVD8s advertised with 'adaptive air/active suspension' or similar.
