RR Pre-heating - separate battery
Discussion
Morning guys - does the system that allows you to set the heating to come on before you get in the car, run off a separate battery?
I was please I had set mine on Tuesday as it was -4C when I got to the car. I was somewhat less pleased to find the car wouldn't start as the battery was flat!!
I would have thought they would use an additional battery - am I wrong?

Original battery I'm afraid.
What year is your car? If a L322 then I know the best battery to use is the Bosch 110ah one - very tight fit but it does go in!

The L322 has only one battery, while the L405 has two. My experience of the FBH on various RR's is:
L322 2007 - FBH heated the cabin wonderfully for up to 30mins but flattened even a new high spec battery.
L322 2011 - LR modified the FBH so it cut off before the battery went flat, meaning the FBH never ran for more than 10-15mins and didn't heat things properly. At least it started.
L405 2015 - It heats wonderfully and starts
