Sauntered down to Bath earlier today for a spot of lunch with an old pal at the King William pub. Filthy rain, so had lights on on the way down. Turns out the lwarning buzzer in my 993 no longer works, and so when I got back to the car after lunch, the battery was as flat as a flat thing.
As I'm not currently with any breakdown service, my pal had already left and I don't know anyone in Bath, this was somewhat inconvenient.
Casting my eye around Morrisons' carpark, I saw a battered 110 arriving. If your life depended on picking a car with a set of jump leads, I'm not sure you could pick a much better beast than a well-used 110. Anyway, the chap driving was happy to help. Would have liked to get him a bottle of something tasty, but of course I couldn't shut down until the battery had a bit of life in it - so good wishes over the hyperglobal interweb will have to do, until a landy driver somewhere near Newbury needs a hamd with something.
