2015 Range Rover Vogue SE Glovebox?

A question to fellow owners please. I've just taken delivery of a new vogue SE.

The glove box is in two halves. Upper and lower.

When I push the lower button the lower cover opens on its own.

When I push the upper button nothing opens.

The upper compartment only seems to open by pulling on the cover itself. It's spring loaded so shuts on its own when released. The upper button seems to have no purpose as the door doesn't actually latch when shut.

A couple of weeks ago before mine arrived I was sitting in the showroom model and I seem to remember it's glovebox was exactly the same.

Is mine faulty or is this normal?

The manual is very vague!

I've the same car and the glovebox works in the same way, I assume that means they're OK. Either that or they're both buggered.

Yes, nothing wrong with your car. The upper half of the button releases the catch and you have to pull the glovebox open. The lower part lowers by itself when pushing the lower half of the button.
Closing the upper glovebox it should latch and keep it shut, it can only be released when you push the button. Hope this helps.

Mine doesn't actually latch when pushed shut. Maybe needs adjusting.

I had to run out and check my top glovebox, and it latches correctly. So yours probably just needs adjusting. On a similar topic, my bottom glovebox just slams open when you push the button, not the normal suave opening like the rest of the car. Is this normal?

Mine works exactly like that.

My top compartment is locked until I press the button but like yours, it doesn't spring open when unlocked.
I think that's normal.
