Series Turbo

Hi Folks.

I've just bought a second-hand Turbo set up for a 2.25 petrol. Carb, manifolds the lot. Apparently it was supplied by Bearmach and cost about £1100!

Can't find any info on the Bearmach site, and Mr Impatient doesn't want to wait til Monday to ask them.

So does anyone have any experience/knowledge of this setup? Apparently the timing needs adjusting - but no idea which way.

Definitely retard. Having said that I think the timing on a 2.25 is A.T.D.C any how.

BUT I thought all turbo engines had a lower compression ratio.

Keep me informed as mine could do with a boost.

Mines a '63 with the original 7:1 head - that should be low enough! and I'll let you know - it's supposed to give 105 - 110 bhp.
