I've just changed my push-me-pull-you (Citroen Picasso) for a Freelander and find the strain of having to support my arms when driving just a little too much effort! The Picasso had a decent door pull/handle for your right arm and a fold down rest for your left.

Is there anyone who sells a replacement centre cubby that makes it into an armrest or anyone done this themselves? I find the door handle too low for my right arm as well.

I'm constantly surprised by car makers and how bad their ergonomics can be. My wife's Rav4 has five seat belts but a 50/50 split rear seat and you certainly wouldn't want to sit in the middle for any length of time. Most fifth passengers have it bad as even cars with a 60/40 split usually have an uncomfortable armrest to lean against. Why can't 4x4 manufacturers give us 3 individual rear seats? The only 4x4 I know like this is the Renault Scenic RX4.
Rant over.......

Good choice of car. Yes I believe there is an armrest conversion for the cubby box (or so my other half tells me)

I will see if we can find details about it, we think it was in a Land Rover Magazine, possibly LRO
