4.6 hse air suspension problem
Monday 13th December 2004
I have a 96 4.6 HSE and the air suspension is messisg about. If you drive at a constant speed 30+ the suspension works as it should, if you are in stop start traffic the suspension drops to the bump stops at the front and then the rear drops too.
any clues?
Thanks
Mike

What does it do if you leave it parked overnight at normal ride height ?
If it doesn't end up sagging on one corner, indicating a leak, it looks like you may have a dodgy ride height sensor. Testbook time I'm afraid...

Overnight it does not drop att all.

Looks like a ride height sensor then. If the the EAS brain is getting an intermittent signal it will pogo you around. Might be worth checking the wiring and cleaning the connections to all the sensors before spending money.
